Treatment for facial thread veins using short wave diathermy
A tiny hair like needle is applied to the skin and conducts an electrical current to heat up the blood in the vein. The blood first clots and is then broken down and reabsorbed by the body.
A topical anaesthetic cream is applied to the area 15 minutes prior to treatment, there will be a sensation of heat during the treatment and for some people it can feel slightly uncomfortable, however the treatment is bearable and usually takes around 15 minutes.
